FAQs
What is PTO Plan?
PTO Plan brings women together for trips designed around both independence and connection. Come solo or bring a friend, join group dinners, activities and meetups when you want to, or head off and explore on your own.
Think of it as the community of a group trip without having to follow a group itinerary.
Is it okay to come solo?
Absolutely. PTO Plan is designed with solo travelers in mind, so you don’t need to know anyone before you come.
We’ll connect everyone before the trip through a group chat, and you’ll have optional dinners, activities and meetups throughout the trip where you can get to know other travelers.
You’ll always have the freedom to do your own thing, too. Join the group when you want company, make plans with other travelers or take the day for yourself.
Come solo. Bring a friend. Meet us there.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course. PTO Plan isn’t exclusively for solo travelers. Come on your own, bring a friend or travel with someone you already know. You’ll still be part of the larger PTO Plan community throughout the trip.
What if I don't know anyone going?
That’s kind of the point! Many travelers may arrive without knowing anyone else.
Before the trip, we’ll connect everyone through a group chat so you can start meeting other travelers, make plans and find people interested in some of the same things you are.
Do we do everything together?
No. PTO Plan isn’t a traditional group tour.
We’ll organize optional group activities, dinners and meetups throughout the trip, but your time is your own. Join us when you want the company, make plans with other travelers through the group chat or spend the day exploring on your own.
Are PTO Plan activities required?
Nope. They’re always optional.
Some travelers may join almost everything, while others may spend most of the trip exploring independently. Both work.
PTO Plan gives you opportunities to connect without requiring you to follow a group itinerary.
What's included in the trip price?
This varies by trip.
Each trip page will clearly explain what’s included before you book. For cruise trips, your cruise fare and onboard inclusions are determined by the cruise line, while airfare, pre- and post-trip hotels and certain activities may be additional.
PTO Plan activities and any additional costs will always be communicated to travelers in advance.
How do I book a PTO Plan cruise?
Use the Book with PTO Plan link on the trip page and stay within the PTO Plan booking page through checkout. This ensures your reservation is connected to our group.
Reservations booked separately through Virgin Voyages or another travel advisor are not automatically part of the PTO Plan group.
Need help booking? Email devan.randolph@fora.travel.
Can I book directly through Virgin Voyages?
To participate as part of the PTO Plan group, your reservation should be made through the PTO Plan booking link on the trip page.
If you accidentally book directly through Virgin Voyages, contact us immediately at devan.randolph@fora.travel so we can determine whether your reservation can be transferred to the PTO Plan group.
What if I already booked the same cruise?
Email devan.randolph@fora.travel as soon as possible.
Depending on your reservation and Virgin Voyages’ policies, we can determine whether your existing booking is eligible to be transferred and connected to the PTO Plan group.
Please don’t cancel or rebook anything before reaching out.
Can you help me choose a cabin?
Yes! If you’re unsure which cabin is right for you, email devan.randolph@fora.travel before booking and we’ll help you understand your options.
We know many PTO Plan travelers may be traveling solo, so we’re happy to help you navigate solo cabin options as well.
Do I have to share a room or cabin?
No. You can book your own room or cabin.
If you’re traveling with a friend and want to share, you can choose an appropriate double-occupancy option. PTO Plan does not automatically assign roommates.
Why does the price say "starting at"?
Travel pricing can change based on availability, room or cabin type, occupancy and when you book.
“Starting at” reflects the lowest available option identified when the trip was published or most recently updated. Your current price will be shown before you complete your reservation.
What does "Estimated PTO" mean?
We want to help you plan your time off, not just your trip.
Our estimated PTO calculation is based on a standard Monday–Friday workweek and takes applicable U.S. federal holidays into consideration.
Your actual PTO needs may vary depending on your work schedule, travel dates and whether you choose to arrive early or extend your trip.
Are flights included?
Unless specifically stated on the trip page, flights are not included.
This gives you the flexibility to use points, choose your preferred airline, arrive early or extend your trip. We’ll provide arrival guidance and recommendations to help you plan.
Do I need to stay at a specific hotel before or after a cruise?
No. When a trip includes an optional pre- or post-cruise stay, PTO Plan will recommend hotels to make it easier for travelers who want to stay near one another.
You’re still free to choose the hotel and price point that works best for you.
What happens after I book?
We’ll keep you updated as the trip gets closer with destination recommendations, PTO Plan activities, important travel information and anything you need to know before departure.
You’ll also be invited to the trip’s group chat before we travel so you can meet everyone, see what others are planning and start making plans of your own.
What is a PTO Plan waitlist?
A waitlist helps us see who’s interested in a trip before we officially open it for booking.
Joining a waitlist doesn’t require you to book or make a payment. If the trip moves forward, waitlist members will be among the first to receive confirmed dates, pricing and booking information.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation and change policies vary by trip, supplier and reservation type.
You’ll be able to review the applicable terms before booking. We recommend understanding the cancellation policy for your specific reservation and considering travel insurance for additional protection.
If you have questions about the cancellation terms for a specific trip before booking, email devan.randolph@fora.travel.
Who is PTO Plan for?
PTO Plan trips are for women 25 and older. While many of our trips and experiences are designed with women in their late 20s, 30s and beyond in mind, there isn’t an upper age limit.
If the destination, travel style and experience sound like your kind of trip, you’re welcome.
I have another question. Who should I contact?
We’re happy to help! Whether you have questions about booking, cabins, arriving early or how a PTO Plan trip works, email devan.randolph@fora.travel.
